As a Assistant Sales and Account Manager, Here's What You'll Do:

The Assistant Sales and Account Manager is responsible for sourcing and obtaining new accounts along with managing a portfolio of existing clients. Will assist the Sales Support Team and National Sales and Account Managers with the day-to-day interaction with Express’s customers answering questions and resolving issues with a focus to build positive customer relationships. This role will act as a liaison between the customer, Express’s operational departments and Sales Team.

Account Management Sales

• Manage incoming and outgoing communication with prospects and clients relative to relationship building and problem resolution.
• Follow an organized and systematic sales process that understands the nature of prospect inquiries, determining next steps, resolving and pursuing issues to successful and prompt completion.
• Manage account performance pertaining to net pay terms.
• Build an account portfolio by signing new customers on an annual basis.
• Work with team to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Generate key reports and/data files.
• Work with National Sales and Account Manager and Vice President Sales to structure rates and strategies in accordance with minimum thresholds.
• Request customer information as required by management team.
• Scheduled visits to customers / trade shows on a Quarterly basis.
• Periodic required travel for customer/prospect visit, industry events, trades shows

Sales

• Identify and source new prospects using a variety of sourcing methodologies driving new business development.
• Work closely with the National Sales and Account Managers on sales structures and process’
• Work closely with the Sales – Support / Operations team on:
  • Daily Operations
  • Logistics
  • Fleet Management
  • Customer Service
  • Sales culture

Here's What it Will Take to be Successful in This Role:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Related experience as an Assistant Branch Manager (2 plus years) or a Management Assistant (2 plus years) or a Branch Rental Manager (1 plus years) in the car & truck rental marketplace preferred.
• Background in Sales / Sales Calls / New Business Development required.
• Experience with Account Management required.
• Exceptional communication / customer service Skills.
• High level organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
• Ability to quickly and effectively prioritize workload based on request for service.
• Ability to provide sound problem solving, analysis, and critical thinking.
• Excellent attention to detail and project management experience.
• Exceptional communication written and verbal skills required.
