Expo Convention Contractors, Inc is Hiring a Graphic Designer / Graphic Artist Near Miami, FL
Job DescriptionEXPO Convention Contractors is a full-service tradeshow service contractor and tradeshow exhibit services company. We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who will be able to work with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met and exceeded. The ability to work on different projects simultaneously while maintaining proper communication with the production team is critical for success. The individual we are looking for will need to be responsible and confident enough to work independently and humble enough to be a valued team member.
Job Overview: To process and fulfill graphic requests while ensuring that the art clients provide is the expected quality and size for print. Work closely with production and design team members to ensure accurate product delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Check details of received graphic requests to ensure proper sizes and materials are used.
Check the sizes of the art provided by clients as well as the quality of it at print size.
Set up & maintain show files.
Coordinate requests and orders between account executives and print production.
Track jobs and their corresponding orders.
Reviewing and proofing graphic materials before the product is considered complete.
Keep the area clean and tidy.
Requirements/ Skills:This is an in-house position; no remote work available (MUST have reliable transportation)Portfolio or sample of work1 to 2 years of relevant experience
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and work independently and as a part of a team.
Attention to detail and well-organized.
English required, Spanish a plus.
Proficient on Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat. InDesign is a plus but not required.)
Proficient on Microsoft Suite and Google Docs (Word & Excel. PowerPoint is a plus but not required.)
Basic understanding of the principle of design
Special Conditions:Due to rigid production timelines and additional variables involving the production of events and tradeshows, flexibility is needed. Some events will require overtime and weekends to complete.
