WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY

As the Front-end Developer, you will report directly to Expertise.com’s Lead Frontend Engineer. You will work cross-functionally to support content, sales, and marketing teams. You will be heavily involved in the following:

1. Writing code with a focus on performance, speedy page load times, improving conversion rates
2. Building sites and implementing redesigns designed in Figma/Sketch
3. Coding features for our sites using HTML5/CSS/JS
4. Future-proofing our sites with maintenance fixes, updating features, and rolling out responsive, mobile-friendly platforms
5. Conversing, committing, and delivering via ClickUp/Slack/GitHub
6. Exploring new technologies/tools for finding solutions to new (and old) problems

THINGS YOU’LL HAVE TO KNOW

1. Static site generators like Jekyll, Gatsby, or NestJS
2. Semantic HTML
3. JavaScript skills
4. Experience with build and package management tools like Yarn or NPM
5. Understanding of Web-standards, accessibility and usability concepts, information architecture, UX & UI design (heavy on the UX)
6. Good communication skills
7. Git handling issues, branching, pull requests, etc
8. Fetching and sending data with an API
