The role of the Full Stack Engineer – Senior Software Engineer is to lead a small team of engineers and technical consultants through designing, building, and maintaining high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is a hands-on role where most of your time will be writing code. This role will require close and continuous collaboration with the client including the Product Owners, Business Analysts, your engineers, and other stakeholders / team members to complete quality production-ready application code. We are looking for someone who can bring a level of Energy, drive, and ownership to knock down barriers and get things done.What You'll Do
- Primary point of contact working with the client
- Work with clients designing, developing, and supporting systems to automate business functions.
- Look at the bigger picture; understand how the technology will fit within the client’s ecosystem and consider how the technology will impact people and processes.
- Mentor and guide a small team of engineers and technical consultants to efficiently write quality code at pace.
- Update the client on team progress, challenges, and risks.
- Translate user stories and functional requirements into technical designs.
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Boost team velocity by developing and implementing quality code in line with Acceptance Criteria and Definition Of Done.
- Assist with the identification and definition of key architectures, components and interfaces, design of data model and data/information flows.
- Estimate level of effort to complete user stories.
- Create new features or parts of applications with the end user in mind, providing the best experience.
- Partner with technology teams throughout the organization to build best-in-class CX.
- Sit co-located with the client physically in the office most days.
- 8 years of hands-on experience as an Engineer.
- Strong confidence writing code in both React and .Net.
- Experience developing software in a cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure DevOps).
- Experience leading a small team of engineers.
- Consulting experience or experience owning a client relationship.
- Positive attitude and an ability to work well on an exciting project with client and Experient Group team members.
- Can work autonomously, or at the direction of a technical architect, team lead, or embedded within a client team.
- Maintain clean “code hygiene” and adhering to coding standards (formatting and documenting code, code merges with other engineer’s code).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for learning and a passion for solving business problems with technology.
- Experience working with APIs.
- Familiarity / experience with GIT.
- ADO (Azure DevOps) experience preferred.
- Experience working with SCRUM development process.
- Familiarity with object-oriented design and development.
- Strong, collaborative team player.
