Job Title: Information Technology (IT) Intern
Reports To: Information Technology (IT) Director
Time Status: Part time, 20 hours per week
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: Hourly Rate of $20.00
Classification: Intern
SUMMARY
Under supervision of the Information Technology Director or delegated technical staff, the Information Technology Intern will assist Information Technology staff to perform basic level work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

Assist with help desk calls, scheduling, and tickets.
Basic end-user support to prevent customer service delays for basic technical issues.
Under IT staff guidance, perform computer imaging, staging and installation.
Assist in the maintenance of IT standards and documentation.
Under the guidance of IT staff, inventory technology equipment and software.
Field work and interacting with customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Appropriate English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
High attention to detail and accuracy with complete follow through.
Excellent organizational, project management, data entry, interpersonal, intrapersonal and communication skills.
Ability to operate computer systems and software such Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Internet, and other HRIM software systems.
Knowledge of basic technical skills and aptitude to learn technology to help support GBC/GCA staff, students, and families.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Interest or demonstrated experience with computer hardware or software.
High school diploma or equivalent.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
The selected candidate must possess a valid social security number, valid drivers license and a current working home/cell telephone with a number that can be accessed by management personnel for business contact purposes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

About Grace Christian Academy

In 1996, God called Dr. Ron Stewart, former pastor of Grace Baptist Church (1988-2016), to begin a new ministry through the establishment of a Christian school. After two years of preparation and research, the first group of fifty-five students and five staff members were present on the first day of classes on August 17, 1997. During the first few years of its existence, enrollment rapidly increased and as a result, the construction of a new 29-classroom building began in 2000. The same school year, GCA first accomplished accreditation for grades K-8 through the Association of Christian School ... s International (ACSI). After moving into the new facility in 2002, GCA completed the accreditation process for high school grades 9-12 during the 2003-04 school year. By the year 2005, to accommodate the ever growing student population, GCA further expanded into a brand new high school facility.
