In this role, you will utilize advanced skills to conduct preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center environment. Responsibilities include overseeing electrical and mechanical systems such as Universal Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and CMMS Work Dispatching.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct daily inspections of Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, performing servicing and maintenance as necessary.
· Complete assigned tasks in adherence to established processes and procedures outlined in Environment, Health and Safety Policy, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and PPE requirements.
· Supervise third-party vendors to ensure adherence to processes, procedures, and all relevant laws/regulations. Accompany vendors during site visits as needed to ensure compliance with site standards.
· Assist in developing work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical tasks, ensuring documentation such as CERM documents and logbooks are up to date.
· Participate in required training to fulfill job-related responsibilities effectively.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma/GED with 2-4 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
· Familiarity with emergency response/standby/call out procedures. Strong background in HVAC or Electrical is advantageous.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Strong communication skills, including the ability to comprehend instructions, write reports, and effectively present information.
· Basic financial knowledge to calculate simple figures like percentages.
· Reasoning ability to understand and follow general instructions and solve problems in standard situations.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and prior experience in financial settings preferred.
· Ability to respond to inquiries, write routine reports, and effectively present information to various stakeholders.
