You're a highly motivated Engineering Manager who is passionate about delivering business value by leading and growing teams. You take a balanced approach to providing guidance and expectations while simultaneously empowering team members to be accountable and make decisions. The right candidate for this role is a strong communicator and understands the value of customer feedback in making data-driven decisions.

What you'll do:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Data:Development of engineering solutions and tools for automated generation of synthetic and production-like test data for improving the testability and reliability of testing/automation fully solving test data/inventory requirements across EG.

  • Test Environment: Lead creation of efficient solutions for reliability of Integration Test Environment with thousands of microservices and hundreds of changes deployed every day.

  • Project Management: Own test environment stability and test data enrichment solutions from requirements gathering to production. This includes working with stake holders to gather their requirements, planning with measurable business goals, creating short term and long-term strategies, prioritizing, working closely with the team on architecture, design, and implementation, tracking progress via metrics, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to stay on target and delivering high quality solutions iteratively within business timelines.

  • Team management: Drive multiple parallel initiatives, using common pool of engineering resources, optimizing them based on current priorities and skills set. Inspire and motivate team members to strive for excellence, set ambitious goals, and celebrate achievements. Provide mentorship and support to team members to help them reach their full potential. Directly hire and manage a team of engineers in creating a robust testing environment that supports end to end delivery and deployment of new business functionality. Communicate effectively with teams; listen to teams’ concerns and issues regarding technology; resolve their needs and expectations and respond accordingly.

  • Communication and reporting to stake holders: Clearly define and communicate the mission, vision, and goals of the team to internal and external stakeholders.Develop visually appealing and informative presentation slides and reports that effectively communicate actionable insights, business outcomes and value proposition of the solutions. The reports should be accurate, understandable and audience appropriate with demonstrated results via metrics.

  • Adoption: Drive and increase adoption of the created solutions by interacting with stakeholders and potential beta customers.

  • Idea generation: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and optimization. Encourage and foster a culture of innovation within the team.

  • Collaboration: Foster collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and priorities.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 8 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on product development or productivity engineering tools with quality mind set.

  • Experience in development of related engineering solutions and tools for automated generation of synthetic and production-like test data.

  • Experience in creating and driving efficient solutions related to improving the reliability of Integration Test Environment with thousands of microservices and hundreds of changes deployed every day.

  • 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing teams of software engineers or quality assurance professionals.

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of driving business outcomes through quality initiatives and process improvements.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $184,500.00 to $258,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $295,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
