POSITION: Energy Modeling Specialist

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Develop, implement, and validate energy models for various building/project types, energy systems, and technologies using IESVE (Integrated Environmental Solutions Virtual Environment), or relevant software tools as required; Perform energy simulations to evaluate energy conservation measures, renewable energy technologies, and building performance optimization strategies; Complete LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) documentation for EA (Energy and Atmosphere), WE (Water Efficiency), IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) and other credits depending on the project type; Lead energy modeling projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget; Provide technical expertise in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability to clients and project teams. 100% remote work allowed; can live anywhere in the US. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Energy Systems or related field or foreign equivalent degree and 1.5 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Energy Systems or related field or foreign equivalent degree and 3.5 years of related experience.Required skills: Perform Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning design, optimization and compliance modeling using IESVE (Integrated Environmental Solutions Virtual Environment) energy modeling tool; Evaluate large scale solar Photovoltaic projects from design, techno-economic analysis to installation and validation using Aurora Solar, System Advisory Model software; Research net-zero energy technologies for buildings and subjects including circular economy to support the research; Prepare Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design documentation for Energy & Atmosphere credit and provide narrative for client for submission to authority having jurisdiction.
