Be our next Designer – Site Civil!

 Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Site Civil Team in Chicago, IL or Coral Gables, FL. The professional will focus on projects that support Site Civil/Land Development, Buildings, Telecommunications, Mission Critical, and Infrastructure Practices nationally. Project types and clients will vary.

 What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Prepares engineering plans for various aspects of site development projects.
• Conducts outreach to utility providers to coordinate existing facility locations and capacity.
• Maps existing utilities and identifies potential needs for relocations.
• Implements team markups in project drawings and reports.
• Completes permit application packages and coordinates submittals to required agencies.
• Prepares engineer opinions of probable for construction costs based on proposed quantity takeoffs and bid data.
• Performs construction assistance related tasks including visiting job sites, reviewing submittals, and coordinating needed revisions.
• Works with dynamic design teams including architects, engineers, land use attorneys, surveyors, and contractors.

 What your experience looks like

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience in a Civil Engineering or related role (site development experience preferred)
• Proficient in using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to travel for 1-2 day site inspection/meeting trips (one trip per month or less average)
