Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Infrastructure Division, of the Mid Atlantic Sector, and have the opportunity to work on a wide-range of projects overseeing the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. The Division Manager leads a team of project managers, engineers, architects, construction managers and inspectors who work together to deliver high-quality and cost-effective solutions for various clients. The Division Manager also ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and contractual standards and regulations.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Manage the overall operations of the Construction Management Division, including budgeting, staffing, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and policies for the division, aligned with the organization's vision and goals.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, such as senior management, clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring that the scope, schedule, quality, and budget are met or exceeded.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project teams, resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
  • Ensure that the division adheres to the best practices and standards of construction management, such as risk management, quality control, and change management.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and outcomes of the division's projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in the construction industry, and incorporate new technologies and innovations into the division's practices.

The Skills, Knowledge and Abilities We Seek

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex and large-scale construction projects, from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of construction management, including project management, engineering, architecture, and contracting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of various software and tools for construction management, such as MS Project, AutoCAD, and preferably BIM.
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or equivalent is preferred.
