Exotics Racing - Speed Vegas is Hiring an Off- Road Manager Near Las Vegas, NV

  • OFF-ROAD MANAGER

FLSA Status:Exempt

Reports to:  Chief Operating OfficerVP of Track Operations and Director of Special Projects

Supervisory Responsibility: Supervises Off-Road Lead Tour Guide and upto 4

Job Summary

As the Off-Road Manager you will oversee all Off-Road operations for both the off-road track and off-road tour. The Off-Road Manager will have a focus on operations to ensure profitability and commitment to guest satisfaction. The Off-Road Manager will be located at the SpeedVegas Off-Road Tour location in Jean, Nevada and will be required to travel to the SpeedVegas home location for meetings when required

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Schedule and train instructors in the operation of both the off-road trucks and side-by-side vehicles
  • Assist as an off-road track and tour instructor when needed to ensure smooth operations
  • In collaboration with management, develop off-road program including track experiences, training experiences and off-road tours
  • Assist with tour development ensuring route safety based on all local, company, and state required regulations considering respect for and maintaining natural resources, including but not limited to protected flora and fauna as well as the desert tortoises
  • Collaborate with management to develop safety procedures for employees and guests
  • Review and approve purchase orders for off-road accessories such as helmets, goggles, gloves, and any other required accessories
  • Supervise all off-road mechanics for the overall performance of the off-road fleet
  • Supervise off-road tracks
  • Supervise water truck operations and other off-road track maintenance activities
  • Understand the off-road P&L (profit and loss) to ensure profitability in the off-road segment of the business
  • Execution of the overall off-road vision for the facility with input from the CEO/COO/Director of Special Projects and Board Members
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • MUST be over the age of 25 MUST be able to ride an ATV with the ability to look backwards and talking on the radio 
  • MUST have mechanical knowledge and skills to assist the team when needed
  • MUST be able to remain calm under pressure 
  • MUST keep the safety of guests at the forefront of operations, both during transit and on tour
  • MUST be able to communicate clearly with guests and company using text message, phone call, etc. 
  • Can drive a 15-passenger van and 
  • MUST be able to change a flat tire 
  • Valid driver license with CDL Class A endorsement required (to drive trucks for OHV transportation) (required) 
  • 3-year clean NDR (required)
  • CPR Certification (can be done post-hire)
  • AED Certification (can be done post-hire)
  • Previous ATV tour/trail guide experience (strongly preferred)
  • MUST be able to pass criminal background check and drug test and no history of active drug and/or alcohol use 
  • MUST have the ability to work in the heat or cold for extended periods of time 
  • MUST have the ability to multitask between paperwork, email communication, cell phone communication, and computer tablet usage 
  • MUST have the ability to deal with physical demands of the position 
  • MUST be willing to work flexible hours including holidays 
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • First aid knowledge preferred (but not required)

  • Advanced knowledge in the use of iPads or other tablet technology
  • Ability to work weekends

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit in an off-road vehicle for extended periods of time; to run; to talk and hear; to stand; to walk to site; use hands; to see and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to regularly drive an off-road vehicle at speeds up to 50 miles per hour on a designated tour route. Employees are occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds; be able to work in outside temperatures of up to 120 F in summer and 30 F in winter and regularly hear loud, repetitive noise.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is full-time and regularly requires early morning, late night, and weekend shifts.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or GED

  1. Valid Driver’s License

  1. Two years of off-road driving experience
