We are seeking a Proposal Coordinator / Marketing Specialist who will manage and write responses to Government requests for information (RFIs) and coordinate information and activities for all assigned proposals. In addition, this person will create engaging physical/digital materials (e.g., corporate website); manage social media accounts across various platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter); and promote brand awareness among prospective job seekers, teaming partners, and clients. This is ideally a hybrid position working remotely and at our corporate headquarters in Herndon, VA.

Work location is negotiable up to fully remote for highly qualified candidates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and control information, files, and activities across multi-faceted teams developing large and/or technically complex proposals for Federal Government agencies.
  • Manage and write responses to Government requests for information (RFIs), to include conducting research, interviewing, and collecting source materials for these responses.
  • Collect and create content for non-technical proposal volumes, to include corporate past performance, management approaches, graphics, and proposal resumes.
  • Manage proposal and RFI response documentation, to include access permissions for Unissant employees, teaming partners, and consultants.
  • Create engaging physical/digital materials (e.g., corporate website) and manage social media accounts across various platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter).
  • Develop social media artifacts for campaigns, conferences, announcements, organizational events/observances, brand awareness, and special projects.
  • Assist with editing draft documents to detect and correct errors such as spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Work Experience:

  • 0-2 years of experience with proposal coordination or proposal management roles on complex Federal Government proposals.
  • 0-2 years of experience in Marketing and Communications roles, to include experience with social media.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and editing complex MS Word documents (e.g., articles for publication, theses, dissertations) requiring desktop publishing skills.

Job Skills:

  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word editing and desktop publishing, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fluid work environment with continuously evolving priorities and firm deadlines.
  • Novice proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro is preferred.
  • Possess high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a team player attitude.
  • Possess strong time management skills, including working outside of normal business hours as needed.

Education:

  • BA/BS in History, English, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Information Technology, or a similar field is preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Strong oral communication skills with the ability to communicate in person courteously with employees, customers, visitors and suppliers.

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly sedentary, in an office environment.
  • Hybrid Remote negotiable (0-3 days weekly in office).
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
  • Flexible in working extended hours.
