Dispatcher – Mobile Crisis
Position Summary:
Exodus Recovery, Inc (Exodus) dispatchers will be coordinating flow for Unarmed Model of Crisis Response (UMCR) teams, who respond to non-violent calls that may have a social services impact including but not limited to (a) mental health, (b) substance abuse, (c) suicide threat, (d) behavioral distress, (e) conflict resolution, and (f) welfare checks.
The Dispatcher manages multiple methods of communication including phone, radio, on-screen alerts, and direct messaging. Dispatchers establish priorities and handle several emergencies simultaneously with high level of accuracy. This role prioritizes requests for services based on the acuity and dispatches teams in accordance with established procedures. Dispatchers will also track and prioritize multiple calls and the status of teams. Dispatchers coordinate emergencies with local, state, and federal law enforcement, fire, and EMS authorities in accordance with established program procedures.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in non-emergency dispatch, EMT dispatch, or public safety dispatch. Other relevant experience includes crisis helplines, non-emergency transport, EMT experience, mental healthcare experience.
Candidates fluent in Spanish highly desirable.
Note: This program operates 24-hours per day, 7 days per week, including all holidays.
