ExoAnalytic Solutions is looking for an exceptionally talented Operations Manager interested in maintenance of the ExoAnalytic Global Telescope Network (EGTN). The Operations Manager will oversee operations of the EGTN including, but not limited to, remote and in-person maintenance of observatory locations, ensuring stock of network supplies as well as monitoring the shipping and receiving for the Commercial Space Operations Division. This position will require travel relating to the telescope network up to 50% time.Specific Job Duties Include:
- Traveling to remote observatory locations completing installation, maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties
- Managing items pertinent to observatory installation and maintenance as well as creating new tools and routines to ensure sensor automation, network optimization, and data analysis
- Installing, servicing, or performing complex on-site repairs of telescope and computer equipment
- Maintaining stock of related telescope hardware and supplies
- Overseeing the shipping and receiving for the EGTN
- Creating routines, processes, and other necessary items to ensure proper observatory automation
- Contributing to the automation, optimization, and day-to-day maintenance of the ExoAnalytic Space Catalog
- Interfacing with internal/external stakeholders daily
- Contributing to technical reports, proposals, and presentations as needed.
- Working under directions and guidelines without direct contact with supervisor
- Troubleshooting of equipment
- Troubleshooting of software issues
- Performing Inventory Checks
- U.S. Citizenship and valid U.S. Passport
- Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and complete other hands-on tasks requiring the use of power tools
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to read and understand diagrams
- A general understanding of engineering principles
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
- High attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in a foreign language
- Experience with Python/DOS/BASH programming
- Experience with Windows and Linux
