In this role, you will apply cross-species immunology expertise to help spearhead in-vitro and ex-vivo studies to address key scientific questions on disease biology, understand responses to novel medicine and bridge gaps in translational immunology. There will be opportunities to collaborate with internal and external teams, provide hands-on guidance for junior scientists, data interpretation and presenting ideas to broader Exo teams to impact key decision making. The scientist will be expected to extend our existing technical/scientific expertise to enhance and accelerate research. We are keen to identify someone who is a self-starter and proactive and who can work independently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and execute novel (target-specific) immunological assays on non-clinical, primary samples to support mechanistic and translational biology efforts.
  • Design, execute, and troubleshoot complex multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA methods using state-of-art instrumentation for characterizing molecules and understanding disease biology in pre-clinical studies.
  • Train junior scientists with technical/scientific guidance: define scope of work, design experiments, interpret data, trouble shoot, provide next steps.
  • Interpret, troubleshoot, and communicate complex data and ideas to the team and the broader organization.
  • Work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve shared project and organizational goals.
