We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Director of Proactive Intelligence to develop our Proactive Data Creation Team in identifying and mitigating supplier risks to ensure the uninterrupted flow of supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intelligence analysis, supply chain risk management, and team leadership. They will be responsible for building and maturing the Intelligence Team, managing team members, and establishing robust reporting mechanisms and standard operating procedures to identify, assess, and monitor risks associated with specific suppliers.
What You'll Do:
Team Building and Development: Build and lead the Intelligence Team, comprised of researchers and analysts specializing in supply chain risk analysis. Train new analysts in the functionality of supply chain risk analysis and ensure the continuous development and growth of team members.
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Utilize intelligence analysis techniques to identify potential risks posed by suppliers that could disrupt the supply chain. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure business continuity.
Establish Reporting Mechanisms: Establish robust reporting mechanisms and communication pathways to both customers and cross-functional teams. Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of intelligence reports on supplier risks and vulnerabilities.
Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks associated with specific suppliers. Ensure adherence to SOPs across the Intelligence Team.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and logistics, to synthesize team output into overall business operations. Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers and industry partners, to gather intelligence and enhance risk assessment capabilities.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging threats and trends in supply chain risk management. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the effectiveness of supply chain risk analysis efforts.
