PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Perform activities relating to designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining IT services, portfolios, products, projects and processes under the guidance of a Sr. IT Services Analyst or Manager. May assist in the coordination of tasks for subordinates. Independence level: Works under general supervision.

• Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage when on call.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform, document and assist in planning work activities relating to IT service portfolios or products in support of our business partners. Assist with IT activities required to manage service level agreements under the direction of a Sr. IT Services Analyst or Manager. (65%)
• Maintain engagement with business and IT partners. (10%)
• Assist less experienced personnel. (10%)
• Proactively build business/IT knowledge to provide solutions. (10%)
• Utilize best practices to improve products and services. Apply and verify compliance to standards as defined within the Management Model. (5%)

JOB SCOPE

• As assigned, work effectively with outsourcing partners
• Performs this service in support of (fill in business area i.e. Energy Delivery, Real Time, etc).

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree and typically 2-5 years related experience in Information Technology or in lieu of degree, 6 equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of utility business practices and processes.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Excellent communications skills (written and verbal).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI or other reporting technology a plus.
• Experience using UiPath & ServiceNow.
• Broad technical expertise with deep technical knowledge of IT incident automation and IT monitoring (network, server, and application).
• Understanding of ITIL, incident management, and change management principles
• Excellent communications skills. Able to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology as required dependent upon audience (written and verbal).
• Participates in technological innovation to drive new monitoring and automation opportunities to solve complex business problems.
• Works under minimal supervision.
• 24/7 on-call rotational duties.
• Demonstrated expert proficiency in at least two operational domains such as storage, compute, database, collaboration, application design, [cloud hosting and related technologies].
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, Active Directory, NTP, DNS, and DHCP
• ServiceNow experience: ITOM Module; ServiceNow Fundamentals; Event Management.
