Job Title: Mailroom Clerk 29177

Position Type: Part Time

Shift: Monday - Friday 9am-2pm

Pay: $15hr-$16hr

Location: Richmond, VA

Special Requirement: Mail/Package processing experience, Mail Services.

Job Summary:

  • Sort, process and distribute envelopes, packages and boxes in a fast paced environment.
  • Work in a team environment to ensure all items received and outgoing items are processed in a timely manner
  • Maintain knowledge of mail, shipping, receiving processes and updates to provide highest level of customer satisfaction

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Account for incoming registered or certified mail, courier packages
  • Sort mail daily
  • Utilize package tracking and shipping processing systems
  • Maintain records of incoming packages, outgoing packages
  • Collect and prepare mail/packages for courier pickup and internal distribution
  • Correct and re-forward misdirected mail
  • Arrange for express delivery when needed by the client
  • Distribute mail to individuals or departments
  • Processing USPS and accountable mail (FedEx, UPS, DHL, messenger and other incoming packages
  • Assist and notify end users of mail and shipping protocols when necessary
  • Log all incoming accountable mail in tracking software
  • Other tasks assigned by Team Lead or Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School or GED
  • Experience in Mail services
  • Mail/Package processing experience
  • Customer Service experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time sorting and delivering mail/packages
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.

Prior Helpful Experience May Include:

Mailroom clerk, Mail clerk, Receptionist, Clerical Assistant, Mail Handler, Document Sorter.

Pay Disclosure:

"The pay range for this position starts at $15; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.”
