License and Permit Specialist I - III (Job #: 15597521)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Licensing and Permitting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing license and permit applications, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, and providing support to both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:

* Receive and review license applications, revisions, and renewals.

* Input license applications and necessary technical data into appropriate computer applications, databases, and systems.

* Issue licenses to eligible applicants.

* Provide administrative and technical assistance regarding license requirements to the general public and agency staff, answering inquiries and providing information on processing, policies, and procedures.

* Assist in the approval of license applications based on state regulations, administrative codes, and agency policies.

* Assist in the preparation of notices, correspondence, memos, and reports related to license activities and compliance.

* Monitor license applications to ensure timely processing.

* Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Experience in customer service, clerical, administrative, or technical support roles preferred.

* Graduation from a two-year college or equivalent experience is desirable.

* Knowledge of office practices, administrative and technical procedures, and relevant policies, administrative codes, and statutes.

* Proficiency in the use of standard office equipment, computers, and software applications.

* Ability to respond to public inquiries promptly, implement administrative and technical procedures, interpret applicable laws and regulations, and communicate effectively.

* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
