Our client, a commercial facilities cleaning and care company local to Long Island, is looking for a Maintenance Specialist to join their growing maintenance division.

In this role, you will perform a wide variety of general building maintenance and repair functions to ensure the quality of the facilities for our client’s locations on Long Island and New York City.

The ideal candidate has a few years experience with general handyman work, a charismatic and personable attitude, and the willingness and leadership ability to commit and grow long-term.

Responsibilities Include:

• Complete assigned service requests and repairs in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain customer service standards. Respond to client requests and work with them to minimize/resolve problems and complaints. Follow-through to ensure issue is resolved.
• Performs small-scale repairs to building structures, including but not limited to:
  • Doors
  • Locks
  • Furniture assembly
  • Ceilings tile installation/replacement
  • Machine assembly/maintenance
  • Painting
  • Light Plumbing
• Maintains records of all work completed, time spent, and materials used.
• Completes work in neat and timely fashion, causing little to no disturbance to clients.
• A self-starter, willing to learn and eventually work independently.
• Traveling multiple times a day to several locations throughout the NY and LI area.

Qualifications:

• High School or Technical School Diploma, required.
• Minimum of 3 years of Maintenance Experience.
• Able to frequently and safely use general maintenance tools, supplies and equipment.
• Position requires driving responsibilities - the ability and willingness to travel around the NY Metro area every day is a MUST.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with company motor vehicle policy.
• Prior experience in customer service preferred.

Pay: $25-$32/hr

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed (overtime available)
