Exchange Bank is Hiring a Quality Control Specialist Near Santa Rosa, CA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Quality Control Specialist I
Compliance: 50%

  • Coordinate real estate tax delinquency reporting and follow-up for resolution with lending officers and customers.
  • Compile and distribute property tax reports and resolve any inquires or disputes regarding property tax information.
  • Perform real estate secured loan review to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations
  • Perform compliance review and verification for new loans, renewals or modifications with regards to HMDA and CRA reporting and regulations.
  • Review Flood Insurance determination and documentation
  • Perform compliance review for new loans, renewals or modification with regards to flood regulations and compliance.
  • Perform upload of HMDA and CRA data from core system to Centrex and review data for exceptions.

Quality Control: 40%

  • Audit daily all loans booked or modified within system. Identify all errors requiring correction.
  • Communicate all errors to applicable loan servicing personnel. Ensure corrections are completed as intended and within required time frame.
  • Prepare demands and collateral releases for compliance with established bank policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the release of collateral for secured guaranties.
  • Process paid loans by preparing and mailing paid off letter including refund of overpayments
  • Organize and maintain physical files in file room
  • Organize and maintain digital files in department G drive

Quality Control Specialist II
Perform the duties listed above with the addition of the following:
Compliance: 60%

  • Complete and distribute monthly and quarterly American Bankers Association (ABA) reports.
  • Develop and present training to ensure compliance with regulatory changes and ensure implementation.
  • Complete responses to requests for customer information including subpoenas for records, tax authority requests and law enforcement requests, etc
  • Perform semi-annual flood compliance audit and report findings to LSC and Credit Administration management.

Quality Control: 30%

  • Audit daily all loans booked or modified within system. Identify all errors requiring correction.
  • Compile reports, histories, insurance, UCC information, etc. for audits as needed. Review and complete all insurance ticklers relating to product types that are not tracked by outside vendor.
  • Review and complete all flood insurance ticklers.
  • Coordinate the release of collateral for secured guaranties.
  • Coordinate insurance tracking of loan portfolio with third party vendor

Quality Control Specialist I, II/Quality Control Team Lead
Non-Essential Functions: 10%

  • Perform special projects and research as assigned.
  • Bundle cashiers checks nightly.
  • Secure customer information and file room cabinets and doors at the end of each day.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Quality Control Team Lead
Performs all duties listed above in addition to the following:
Leadership/Advisory: 50%

  • Schedule team coverage and assign team tasks to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Mentor and provide leadership and performance feedback to team members.
  • Assist Loan Service Manager in recruiting, interviewing and hiring.
  • Conduct regular team and coaching meetings with team members; Participate in department meetings
  • Continually monitor process flow for efficiency and expediency
  • Assist with special projects as necessary

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.

Education and Experience:
Quality Control Specialist I
A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma; and knowledge typically gained through a minimum of two years loan servicing, loan documentation or banking industry experience.
Quality Control Specialist II
A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma; and knowledge typically gained through a minimum of threeyears loan servicing, loan documentation or banking industry experience.
Quality Control Team Lead
A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma; and knowledge typically gained through a minimum of five years loan servicing, loan documentation or banking industry experience.
