A male that lives in Cicero is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with 16 hours of community habilitation support a week. His interests include listening to country music, movies, and has a large collection of both.He enjoys going to the NYS State Fair, the mall, library, and zoo. He enjoys SU basketball, going for walks, and visiting Onondaga Lake Park.

The ideal candidate needs to be reliable, energetic, and vigilant. The ideal candidate must be willing to support him with activities of his choice. The ideal candidate will need to provide hands-on physical assistance with all self care tasks; this includes changing, bathing, eating, brushing his teeth, and washing hands.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services

at the agency.

Hours and days of work: Tuesdays-Friday from 9:15am-1:15pm

Starting pay: Starting pay is $ 20/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Location: Cicero, NY

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
