Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for children to learn, grow, and make lasting memories. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience in childcare, behavior management, and counseling.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and games
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where campers feel supported and encouraged
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth and development
- Assist with planning and leading age-appropriate activities and programs
- Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities
- Ensure the safety of all campers by following established protocols and procedures

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in a childcare, camp, or educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with children of different ages
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding towards campers
- Experience in behavior management techniques is preferred
- Background in Christian counseling or special education is a plus
- Sports coaching or theater experience is beneficial

Teaching in classroom background a plus - background screening required. Level 2
