GENERAL FUNCTION:

Perform as an instructor in a regular vocational classroom setting presenting instruction in security cadet functions. Promote a positive atmosphere within the classroom setting conducive to optimal training, learning, and motivation. Supervises, coordinates, and provides guidance to qualified students enrolled in the Security Cadet Program. Coordinate cadet security service to the Center as a part of the learning process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree with concentration in Criminal Justice, Military Science or a related field preferred with three years' experience in law enforcement, military police or as a security experience required.

OR

Associate Degree with concentration in Criminal Justice, Military Science, or a related field with seven years' experience in law enforcement, military police or as a security experience required.

OR

High School Diploma or equivalent required with eleven years' experience in law enforcement, military police or as a security experience required.

Must be certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization.

Certificates

• Must be currently certified or able to obtain certification in CPR and first aid.
• A valid Regular Driver License is required.
