**Full-time Position

Utilizes imaging equipment (X-Ray, MRI) to conduct radiological diagnostic procedures as needed for evaluating patient conditions. Creates and maintains records and files as directed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates computer and radiographic equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body, under the supervision of a Radiologist. Performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuing optimal quality images
• Prepares patient for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing patients needs and providing patient education
• Records appropriate chart notations in Patient Information System and/or Patient files. Prepares and maintains records and files as directed. Stores and maintains films according to department policy and procedures
• Prepares patient films for interpretation by radiologist
• Practices safety measures in radiography and Environment of Care. Maintains and tests equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Assist Physicians with Orthopedic casting procedures to include the application and removal of a variety of casts and splints. Prepare and position patient for casting procedures. Instruct patients in cast ware, wound care, swelling, and how to remove and apply splints
• Perform routine examinations and treatment procedures to include removing casts, cleaning wounds and applying medications and dressings
• Cross train in clinical areas to support patients and providers. Room patients, update patient charts, take vitals and patient history
• Maintains patient confidentiality
• Handles other duties as required

• AAS Radiologic Technology
• Current ARRT Certification and NYS License
• Minimum of two years of Radiologic Technologist experience
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills while performing any and all tasks associated with the position
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, grasping, carrying, and speaking
• Occasional reaching, bending, and stooping
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
