Title: Elementary Spanish Teacher

Job Function: Teach elementary Spanish to Second and Third Graders and expose students to cultures and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries. Students should learn at an elementary level to communicate in written and spoken Spanish.

The teacher is responsible for Spanish classes for four sections of Second Grade and four of Third Grade. Classes are 30 minutes a day, five days a week.

1. Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Teaching Spanish language and culture to assigned classes.
• Preparing lesson plans to meet the requirements of school curriculum.
• Conducting discussions, lectures, and activities for students.
• Giving assignments and tests to assess student Spanish skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Maintaining an orderly, safe, and welcoming classroom atmosphere.
• Maintaining student attendance and progress reports as per school policies.
• Performing school administrative duties as needed.
• Attending parent teacher conferences and communicating with parents about their child’s academic progress.
• Attending trainings and workshops to improve job skills.
• Identify and notify school management about the needs of books, instructional materials, and other supplies.
• Work closely with other teachers to achieve student academic goals.

• Certification in K-12 Spanish Education strongly preferred
• Strong proficiency in Spanish language

Pay: $39,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
