Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for an organized and energetic person to fill the position of Part-Time Medical Records Coordinator at our facility. This position is 15 hours per week.

Salary: $17-$18.50 per hour

As a Medical Records Coordinator, you will be: 

• Maintaining accurate order of open charts; deplete open charts

• Performing miscellaneous duties pertaining to medical records

• Answering telephone directory inquiries and may answer correspondence

• Coordinating shredding of old records according to State and Federal Regulations

• Obtaining all appropriate departmental and physicians’ signatures on discharge charts within 30 days of discharge

• Assisting when state and consultants come to the facility

• Managing medical records office, supplies etc.

• Ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

• Responding to Medicare and OMIG audits

• Responding to medical records requests for disability and no-fault lawsuits

• Types physician's orders/ transcriptions as needed for discharge charts
• QM package reports - produce and distribute
• MDS data entry; troubleshooting transmit to the state

Requirements:

• Received the COVID-19 vaccination
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and legal aspects of healthcare is preferable
