Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for an organized and energetic person to fill the position of Part-Time Medical Records Coordinator at our facility. This position is 15 hours per week.
Salary: $17-$18.50 per hour
As a Medical Records Coordinator, you will be:
Maintaining accurate order of open charts; deplete open charts
Performing miscellaneous duties pertaining to medical records
Answering telephone directory inquiries and may answer correspondence
Coordinating shredding of old records according to State and Federal Regulations
Obtaining all appropriate departmental and physicians’ signatures on discharge charts within 30 days of discharge
Assisting when state and consultants come to the facility
Managing medical records office, supplies etc.
Ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights
Responding to Medicare and OMIG audits
Responding to medical records requests for disability and no-fault lawsuits
