Job Summary

Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will work with the accounting team to accurately prepare journal entries, record financial transactions, maintain reconciliations and assist in the preparation of financial reports. The Accountant will need a mix of accounting acumen, accuracy, detail orientation, dependability and an exceptional customer service orientation

Responsibilities include preparation and recording journal entries, maintenance of monthly close documentation, preparation of periodic account reconciliations, preparation of financial reports, and the maintenance of accounting records.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enter a variety of monthly journal entries.
  • Appropriately document and record financial and accounting transactions.
  • Preparation of monthly account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and related reports.
  • Enter and maintain intercompany allocations and accounting.
  • Maintain adequate and effective internal controls and processes.
  • Recommend improvements in policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely responses to accounting related inquiries.
  • Complete monthly close responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for assisting with annual financial audit.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or adjacent field.
  • CPA or CPA track preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in accounting.
  • Skilled in GAAP.
  • Experience with accounting systems (MS Dynamics GP a plus)
  • High level of Excel skills, demonstrated ability to work with large volumes of data
  • Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product.
  • Accountable for delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional work ethic.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
