What You'll do
  • Working on a computer
  • Utilizing the EHR
  • Scanning/uploading documents
  • Corresponding with attorneys and their office staff
  • Printing claims and corresponding notes
  • Mailing claims/notes to insurance companies
  • Working workers comp denials
  • Accounts Receivable follow-up
  • Knowledge of PA Workers Comp Law
  • Understanding of WCAIS and Bureau documents
  • Answering emails
  • Making/answering phone calls
  • Multi-tasking
  • Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of insurance plans, workers’ compensation, and personal injury.
Additional Skills/Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including Windows, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Confidence in working independently.
  • Typing – 50 WPM.
  • Working knowledge of insurance guidelines and billing and collection procedures.
  • Ability to effectively interact with doctors, attorneys, patients, and co-workers.
Physical/Mental Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting maximum of 20 lbs.
