Excellent Property Management is Hiring a Leasing Consultant Near Chattanooga, TN

The office hours are Monday - Friday 9-6, Saturday 10-4.

· Completing lease agreement and collecting rental deposit.

· Ensuring “model” or target apartments are ready for show.

· Maintaining work areas and the office in a clean and orderly manner, keeping in mind the “curb appeal” of the property.

· Maintaining all resident and property files.

· Having thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all property policies, as well as current rental rates, sizes, locations and all amenities of the property.

· Utilizing required telephone and sales techniques.

· Having full knowledge of lease application information required, screening processes, and policies regarding rentals.

· Maintaining the on-going resident retention program under the direction of the Community Manager.

· Conducting daily physical inspections of the property to make sure all vacant apartments are ready to the Brookside standard.

· Ensuring a professional appearance and attitude, at all times.

· Establishing and maintaining connections with local businesses to provide informational marketing and sales material.

· Having thorough knowledge of all Brookside policies and procedures, as well as community-specific policies.

· Leasing of the property by ensuring all sales techniques and marketing methods required by the management company are being used effectively and in a professional manner.

· Ensuring that all resident requests or complaints are responded to in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.

· Ensuring operation within OSHA and EPA standards, as well as following all Fair Housing regulations.

· Ensuring all required reporting is completed and submitted when due.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· A high school diploma or GED is required, in addition to one to six months related experience and/or training.

· The ability to apply common sense and understanding in certain situations, and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

· Basic computer skills including the knowledge of how to recognize and operate a mouse and keyboard.

· The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.

· The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

· The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence, as well as effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to residents, employees, and vendors.

· The ability to walk properties frequently and regularly while being exposed to outside weather conditions.

· The ability to climb stairs as business dictates and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
