Receptionist position for oncology practice. Responsibilities include but not limited to answering phones, scheduling patients , gathering necessary medical records for consultations, billing entry, greeting patients as they arrive to the office, communicating effectively with other team members.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Create a positive first impression of the medical practice by being pleasant, friendly and helpful to all patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Keep front desk / reception area highly organized and functioning as efficiently as possible. Secure information relative to patients’ financial status or insurance coverage.
May complete insurance forms, verify insurance coverage, and secure other information if needed.
Utilizing the Medent EMR System answer telephone, arrange & confirm patient appointments, and give routine information in accordance with practice procedure.
Duplicate documents and forms as directed and mail or fax to outside individuals and agencies.
Agrees to comply with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, rules, regulations, and standards of conduct relating to the position and has a duty to report any suspected violations of the law or the standards of conduct to his or her immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Chief Executive Officer.
