Job Description:

The Client requires software engineering and project integration support for open-source capabilities. The team shall develop and implement the Client’s collection requirements on Client provided technical collection infrastructure according to the Client’s collection guidelines and authorities. The selected candidates shall work cohesively with a team comprised of engineers, developers, and program managers to assist with the documentation, research, development, and support of custom technical collection solutions. Project Integration support shall keep abreast of AI/ML fraud detection on social media platforms, technology trends and resources to develop innovative techniques and tools in concert with software engineers to maintain and expand access to different online social media environments. The contractors will also need to communicate with non-technical users and document technical solutions. The Client requires a highly skilled Software Engineer with Python expertise to work on a team of technical professionals. The Client will interface directly with Client management for requirements for data collection and digital identities for mission support and assist in integration of data with existing platforms for correlation and analytical insights. The Software Engineer will assist to condition, coordinate, collect, and perform data transfer of complicated data sets for integration and analysis, and apply their experience against large and small datasets for real-time mission support. The individual in this role will analyze new technologies, hardware, and software to determine the applicability and need in the existing or proposed system, to include security, storage, and network technology. They will work with users to identify and develop system requirements taking into account the desired results, hardware limitations and operating requirements, identified by Client and provide operational testing and recommendations for continuous improvement of equipment and software for collection and exploitation. The Software Engineer will collect and exploit profile, content, or metadata information for mission support, evaluate data accessible in public domain, including foreign social media websites and applications both from mobile and stationary platforms, and perform end-to-end quality assurance of data.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE TS/SCI with FULL SCOPE POLY.

Mandatory skillset:

• Experience coding in Python, especially for the collection and exploitation of publicly available data on mobile applications
• Experience with JSON and HTML formats for parsing
• Experience or familiarity with Linux and Bash
• Experience using Visual Studio IDE for debugging
• Experience or familiarity with Elasticsearch/Kibana, such as kql, concepts, GUI usage
• Experience working with at least one high-level language such as C , Ruby, GO, or R
• Experience writing queries for SQL and NoSQL databases

Desired skillset/degrees/certifications:

• Experience or familiarity working with web API's and AWS
• Experience using reverse engineering skills for mobile apps such as familiarity with smali, dex, jar decompiler
• Experience using Kotlin & C for reverse engineering on iOS and Android
• Experience using Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience using Selenium webdriver
• Experience or familiarity with networking tools such as IP lookup, Charles proxy
• Experience with designing applications and creating methods or functions factoring in long-term system support methodology
• Experience with web-based collection platforms
