Excel Manufacturing Inc is a locally owned and operated Machine Shop, located in Seymour, Indiana Industrial Park. We specialize in CNC Precision Machining. Responsibilities for Quality Inspector
- Perform quality functions for CNC machining facility, including inspection
- Responsible in completing receiving inspections in a timely manner
- Responsible in completing final inspections before parts are sent to customers
- Quality Inspector is to ensure the quality of products they are inspecting
- Setup and run a basic CMM program to check a production part
- Operate Contracer
- Quality Inspector is responsible for record keeping of quality inspection documents
- Calibrate and repair precision instruments
- This description is not limited to all other duties asked of you by a supervisor
Qualifications for Quality Inspector
- Proven experience as a quality inspector in the same industry (preferred, but not required)
- Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards
- Good knowledge about industry products and processes
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Basic mathematical arithmetic and computer skills
- Excellent oral and communication skills
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills
- Good team player who can work efficiently
Schedule is Monday - Friday 6 am - 2:30 pm, or 7 am to 3:30 pm. Hours may increase based on the business. Saturdays might be required (5 hour shifts)
