About the Job:
Affiliated Medical Services is hiring Medical Assistants for our growing medical office. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Taking blood samples, urine samples, physical measurements, and detailed medical history.
- Answering phone calls, creating appointments, and directing the calls as required.
- Answering emails and handling all inbound faxes.
- Managing inventory and placing orders as required.
- Completing paperwork and corrections for all physicals completed.
- Taking medical history
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a solid work attendance history
- Must be able to work independently or with other staff members
- Must be able to take a manual blood pressure
- Be able to take a medical history
- A solid knowledge of medical terminology
- Must have excellent phlebotomy skills
- 2 years of experience in a medical office
- Be a motivated, positive, self-starter
