Exalt Academy of Southwest Little Rock (EASW) is a dynamic open-enrollment public charter school that focuses on closing the achievement gap for underserved students in grades K-8 in Little Rock, Arkansas. We are seeking a Fifth Grade Teacher with the proven classroom experience, distinguished expertise, and collaborative approach to serve on our team. The Fifth Grade Teacher that we hire will be part of a talented team that implements a breakthrough academic model based on our research-validated educational design. Through this unique approach, the Fifth Grade Teacher is able to deliver instruction to students individually, in small groups, and through collaborative large-group lessons.

Duties:

• Attend all employee trainings.

Lead and participate in the enrollment and retention of 700 students in grades K-8.

• Teach the assigned grade level.
• Plan lessons which align to the common core standards set forth by administration.
• Supervise the administration of prepared lessons in their classroom by associate teacher.
• Participate in parent-teacher discussions and planning to enrich each student’s learning experience.
• Participate in School activities designed to promote continuous improvement of the educational program and to promote the School.
• Serve in a teaching faculty role and/or fulfill managerial responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent, Principal and/or their designee.

Education Requirements:
· Appropriate Arkansas licensure and certification is desired, not required.
· 3-5 Years Classroom Teaching Experience
· Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Education, but not required)

Technical Skills:
· Very comfortable in an electronic computing environment. Capable of using student information and data to drive instructional delivery and continuous program improvement. Some familiarity with instructional technology equipment, software, hardware and networked systems preferable.

Compensation:

$50,000.00 with full health, dental, vision and retirement plan.
