As a Medium Duty Box Truck and Trailer Technician at Ewing Bros. Inc. you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing medium duty vehicles and trailers to ensure their safe and optimal performance. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to our commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review each repair order, work order, and estimator's notes to fully comprehend the necessary repairs before commencing work on medium duty vehicles and trailers.
- Execute all repairs in accordance with the documentation provided in the repair order or supplemental instructions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the manufacturer's recommended repair processes and technical guidelines.
- Utilize scaffold and tall ladders effectively and safely to perform box truck and trailer repairs as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record for insurability.
- While 2 years of body/mechanical experience is preferred, it is not required.
- ASE Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- ICAR Welding Certificate is a plus, though not essential.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and meticulous work ethic.
- Proficiency in using various tools and equipment relevant to medium duty vehicle and trailer repairs.
- Ability to work independently while also being a valuable team player.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and communicate repair updates.
- Safety-conscious mindset when working with scaffolds and tall ladders.
