Job Description Position:

Full-time, or Part-time

Compensation:

Developmental Enhancement offers a full benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, as well as life insurance policies.

Reports to: Director of ABA Services Summary of Position

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst will provide intensive treatment for children and adolescents, all of which have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. The majority of the services involve providing Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention for young children, but can also involve conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing Behavior Intervention Plans.

Our ABA team is highly experienced and is committed to serving children and families with special needs.

Role:

The BCBA position is to be considered a leadership role within Evolving Minds Together. The ideal candidate will be able to develop the client’s treatment plans, as well as supervise Behavior Technicians to implement such plans. Behavior Technicians will rely on their BCBA to assist them in overcoming challenges and answer questions about their day to day client interactions. Solid communication skills and openness to feedback are necessary.

The BCBA should be organized, and self-sufficient to successfully perform in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess children using Functional Behavior Assessment as needed.
  • Maintain a caseload of clients: Write a comprehensive Individual Behavior Plan for each child assessed.
  • Develop and implement skills acquisition, social skills programs (FBAs and FAAs)
  • Develop and implement positive behavior plans and strategies (PBSP, PBIP)
  • Create recommendations for comprehensive services.
  • Provide consultation and training for parents, teachers, and community members.
  • Staff, train, coach and facilitate treatment teams; program monitoring, etc...
  • Collaborate with other treatment team members and members of the child’s educational environment regarding patients’ progress through interdisciplinary team meetings, record review, and informal discussions as appropriate.
  • Ensure that medical record documentation protocols are complied with. Ensures that patients’ progress notes are entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational procedures.
  • Participate in education and training programs for patients, families, or community groups.
  • Provide regular parent/caretaker training.
  • Maintain knowledge of different programs and certifications through CEU events.
  • Assist with scheduling
  • Assist with scheduling as needed
  • Be present in the center during business hours.
  • Assist with any clinical needs as they arise

Position Requirements:

  • Must be currently certified as a BCBA with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board. Individuals who have recently completed their Master's Degree and are waiting to take the BACB exam will be considered on an individual basis.
  • Maintain CEU requirement and BCBA credential with Behavior Analytic Certification Board (BACB).
  • Obtain and maintain in good standing certification commiserate with the treatment provided.
  • Training and clinical experience in providing applied behavior analysis to children and families. Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders preferred.
  • Analytical skills are necessary in order to synthesize a variety of clinical and social data to determine an appropriate diagnosis, treatment plans, and monitor the effectiveness of treatment programs.
  • Two years of postgraduate clinical experience preferred but not mandatory.
