Camp Counselors are key members of the summer camp team! You will help make our camp a success by making connections with the students, leading activities and theatre games, and making sure everyone is having fun! We're looking for applicants who are full of energy, have an interest in theatre have a passion for working with children.

Evolve Theatre Company is a children's theater located in Coral Gables. Here we offer a safe and creative environment where we welcome all to learn their craft, and inspire them to evolve into the artist they want to become. We believe that there is infinite potential within every child, as long as they are given the chance.

​Our goal is to go beyond limits and create a fun and professional experience for everyone. Under the direction of well-trained staff, we provide vocal, acting, and dancing technique, which is the foundation for a musical theatre career.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with the camp staff.
• Advise campers on appropriate behavior and situations.
• Be a role model for students.
• Treat campers with respect and fairness.
• Maintain order and discipline of program participants and ensure that all safety precautions are observed and followed.
• Assist in roles for the musical production such as: Lighting, Fromt of House, Stage Hands.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
• A background in theater to facilitate drama activities

Our summer camp is a 4-week session, from June 10 - July 3rd. Camp hours are from 9am - 3:30pm.

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
