Evolve Healthcare is seeking a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to provide support in a skilled nursing facility in the Baltimore, MD area. Residents enjoy a restful, relaxing, and rejuvenating experience in the capable hands of warm and caring staff. Conveniently located just minutes away from local hospitals and attractions, this facility offers advanced care programs for complex medical conditions, overseen by a team of in-house, board-certified specialists. In addition to sub-acute rehabilitation, they are known for excellence in long-term care, providing round-the-clock skilled nursing for a wide range of complex medical conditions.

As a GNA you will work directly with elderly patients to ensure their comfort and well-being. Geriatric nursing assistants perform the following duties:

• Help bathe
• Dress
• Undress
• Feed
• Transport patients

GNA's may also prepare patients for surgery, clean and organizer patients' rooms and change bed linens.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various medical settings. Duties:

• Assist with patient care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
• Monitor patients and report any changes in their condition to the nursing staff
• Assist with mobility and transfers of patients
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
• Document patient information accurately and timely

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or similar role is preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks is a plus
• Knowledge of patient assessment techniques and procedures
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and primary care
• Understanding of basic physiology and medical terminology
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare team members
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
