We are hiring a Field Service Customer Product Support Specialist who is interested in utilizing their technical aptitude in an exciting position that expands their career. We are searching for technicians/engineers who are enthusiastic about producing innovative 3D printing products while working with an inspiring manufacturing and service team. Essential Functions
• Troubleshooting and solving technical, quality and reliability issues with Evolve SVP systems in the field and our in-house systems.
• Lead and develop continuous improvement initiatives in the field to improve System- reliability and productivity.
• Train customers on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures.
• Improve overall capability in troubleshooting complex problems through influence, example, and direct training.
• Provides expert test and machine troubleshooting capabilities. Performs part-building problem-solving.
• Report software issues to bug tracking systems accurately and clearly, so developers can quickly understand and repeat the problem.
• Ability to use standard problem-solving methods (i.e., 8D, 5W, IDEAL, etc.) to create corrective actions with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure continuous improvement.
• Support engineering- and operating teams on Service Pack/Modification deliverables/planning (including installation- and training documentation) and executing Service Pack planning/deployment in the field and in-house systems.
• Development, training design and execution of Customer Operator, Maintenance and Service documentation, including appropriate materials and tools, for Customer Operators and Customer Service Technicians.
• Work with engineering and customers as needed to install, service and upgrade SVP systems.
• Execution of equipment certification and testing processes that ensure successful validation, first at Evolve (FAT=Final Acceptance Tests) and then following/certifying Installation at Customer Sites (SAT=Service Acceptance Tests), then training technical personnel on their execution.
• Assist with maintaining inventory for spares and consumables at customer sites, remote storage locations, and at Evolve facilities, as well as assisting in forecasting and costing demands.
• Project management of multiple and complex projects involving external customers and internal resources and teams, requiring coordination of multiple functions and tasks.
• Proactively communicates status and issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• 2-year Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience and 5 years of experience in a technical position.
• Experience working and troubleshooting with complex equipment.
• Trouble-shooting aptitude, including maintenance and/or repair of equipment. Includes troubleshooting methods for automation, pneumatic, air and water heating / cooling devices.
• Ability to work onsite at customer locations, or in customer’s presence at Evolve, and represent Evolve in a professional and respectful manner.
• Solid mechanical and electrical skills and ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with a broad range of imaging equipment is an advantage, like i.e., FDM, SLS, Offset, Digital (Ink Jet and/or Electrostatic), Flexographic, or others (i.e., experience as field engineer for Xerox, Kodak, Canon, Ricoh, printing systems or 3D printing systems)
• Familiar with imaging materials is an advantage.
• Ability to follow engineering and scientific discussions on imaging and polymer materials.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word PowerPoint).
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills and ability to write technical procedures.
• Ability and likes to collaborate well with customers and other Evolve teams.
• Ability/learn to coach others in equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability and willingness to take on responsibilities.
• Team player.
• Willing to travel national/international (up to 50%)
