Location: Multiple states within the U.S. Amount of Travel Required: Varies

Work Schedule: Positions Supervised: Field Operations Crews

  • Rotational: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off
  • Monday – Sunday (additional travel before and after)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Field Supervisor (FS) reports directly to the Regional Manager and is responsible for the Service Supervisors and their respective roles and responsibilities. The FS proactively supports field operations through in-person, direct supervision to ensure company and client expectations are met. FSs are ambassadors of EVO culture, safety, and ethics. They are fully vested in the company’s goals and objectives and consistently communicate these to the crews.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
  • Participates in company safety initiatives including daily programs (written documentation, observations, etc.) and adheres to policies and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all employees and to drive operational excellence.
  • Works as a team to communicate, collaborate, and create strong alignment internally and externally with our customers and partners.
  • Complies with all government, industry and EVO regulations and standards to ensure a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
  • In-person, physical presence, and direct supervision during critical operations.
  • Supervises all employees on the fracturing crew in planning, organizing, and carrying out fracturing operations.
  • Possesses a strong awareness of crews’ strengths and weaknesses and develops plans to mitigate and shore up gaps as well as develop their crews to their potential.
  • Creates a diverse, inclusive, and safe work environment where employees of all backgrounds feel included, and their contributions valued.
  • Determines the need and use of equipment for each job as per customer’s request.
  • Communicates with the customer on proper procedures to field locations and plans and implements move-over procedures for all field moves.
  • Prepares and keeps accurate paperwork on unit service work, time sheets, delivery tickets, job reports and other administrative items.
  • Knowledge of operating cost for their fleets and ability to perform cost analysis, when necessary.
  • Responsible for analysis of KPA Metrics and implementation of action plans to drive improvements in efficiency and production.
  • Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate, consistent with the company’s Operational Training Matrix and employee’s progression plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully passes a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and other relevant competency assessment(s).
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • In-person, predictable attendance during critical operations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

  • High School Diploma or GED. Some college course work completion preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • 5-7 years in a Supervisory Hydraulic Fracturing experience or a minimum of 3 years’ experience within an EVO SS role.
  • Demonstrated ability to prove high aptitude in technical skillsets and competencies as listed below.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to attend, participate, and successfully complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.
  • Attends and successfully completes annual safety and operations recertification training.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 12-hour shifts for 14 consecutive days.
  • High mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to successfully create and work within a team environment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to receive instruction well and provide coaching and constructive feedback in interactions with other employees in a positive manner, within the framework of assigned work groups.
  • Fully knowledgeable, compliant, and proactively promote and utilize digital platforms including Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company mandated systems.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely with diverse groups including customers, managers, contractors and well service personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and lead the crew in a fast-paced environment, identifying priorities and focusing on critical activities.
  • Ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and safely.
  • Ability to deal proactively with work-related problems.
  • Ability to put the company’s goals and objectives at the forefront while making critical operational decisions.
  • Proficient in Performance Management.

Additionally, a Field Supervisor (FS) will display a high proficiency in the below competencies:

  • Professional: The FS leads by example and proactively supports field operations through direct supervision to ensure company and client expectations are met or exceeded while diligently following prescribed Best Practices. FSs consistently demonstrates the EVO PRISM culture and CARE values in everyday work activities while maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards with all customer interactions. They provide clear direction to the crew, removing obstacles and clearly establishing priorities. The FS should be well versed with the terms of the service agreement and job schedule and act as a key point of contact with the customers to provide a high degree of reliability and operational excellence.
  • Operational: FS will provide in-person physical presence, and direct supervision during critical operations, ensuring all expectations are met in the operation of the fleet. The FS will drive the utilization of data and digital platforms to improve fleet performance. The FS has an extensive knowledge of all EVO equipment and services and is knowledgeable in the following key areas:
    • Customer Interaction, relationship, and engagement.
    • Leads all move planning and physical move activities.
    • Marking location on the pre-frac.
    • Full understanding and implementation of company goals.
  • Setting and stewarding goals of the fleets.
  • Oversight and management of the progression of the crew (perform bi-monthly assessment).
  • Leadership: The FS will serve as an example and mentor to the entire crew. The FS will clearly define and communicate daily goals and expectations to their field crews. They will directly mentor SSs on the continued development of the crew. The FS will coach, as well as support the SS’s mentorship of their assigned EOLs as well as mentor all field personnel and share their knowledge. FSs will attend and apply Leadership and Management training provided by the company.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. When required to go to a wellsite, employees will rideshare with multiple employees. Work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and impact gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. Field Supervisors are regularly required to lift heavy objects; therefore, Field Supervisors must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently and 50-100 lbs. with a team lift.

Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on job demands.
