Description:

eVigilant is currently seeking a full time CAD Operator with experience in designing/drafting to assist in creating Design, Install and As-Built drawing packages for Electronic Security Systems including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Intrusion Detection Notification, Video Management systems, and Intercom System. The position is responsible for creating and editing drawing packages in line with industry standards and code compliancy. The position provides support for assigned projects within the Engineering team. The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while successfully completing their tasks within the required deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed design tasks using AutoCAD and other software tools to develop and document designs, to include:
  • Creating and updating drawing packages
  • Equipment submittal data packages
  • Logic diagrams
  • Panel layout details
  • Device layout details
• Under the guidance of CAD Manager, create plan and design details, including engineering concepts, distribution plans, riser diagrams, schedules, specifications, design analysis, engineering reports, etc.
• Attending on-site technical discussions and meetings with the Engineering team, customers and suppliers; occasional off-site project visits.
• Provide support for project managers from conception through completion, (both large and small project), in accordance with Company objectives and contract requirements, as it pertains to drawing packages and data submittals.

• Files and distributes all drawings according to the customer requirements and SOP's .
• Deliver CAD files on-time for all milestone/gateway/program deliverables working with Engineers, Primary Designers, and Operations
• Drive resolution of CAD data non-compliance issues cooperatively with CAD Designers, Engineering, and Operations

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience in CAD design and engineering drawing production
• 3 years of experience performing mechanical tasks associated with designing and drawing of security systems requirements
• 3 years of experience with AutoCAD software
• 3 years of experience working with a CAD Manager and staff to prepare CAD drawings based on project requirements. Drawings include floorplans, calculations, details and other diagrams as needed
• Must be willing to travel up to 15%
• Must be able to pass USG security screening process.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience performing mechanical tasks associated with designing and drawing of security systems requirements
• 5 years of experience with AutoCAD software
• 5 years of experience working with a CAD Manager and staff to prepare CAD drawings based on project requirements. Drawings include floorplans, calculations, details and other diagrams as needed
• Experience with CCTV, Electrical, Wiring Diagrams, Cable Diagrams, Elevations, Mechanical, Structural, Electronic Security Systems including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Intrusion Detection Notification, Fire Alarm systems, and Video Management systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF editing software
• Support internal customer by addressing questions and other support requests
• Interact with other team members to accomplish tasks, achieve common goals, solve problems, resolve conflicts and measure achievements
• Proficient with computer industrial design systems
• A high sensitivity to the Client's needs and expectations
• A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all involved parties (Client, A/E, Operations)
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Must exhibit good team building, mentoring, and leadership skills
