Every Home For Christ is Hiring a Director of Finance Near Colorado, CO

 

The Director of Finance will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of the financial services of the ministry in alignment with ministry strategic goals and vision. The director provides leadership and guidance to Finance departments and works across departments to ensure compliance with policy and requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Every Home for Christ. 
  • Adheres to the Biblical standards of moral conduct, Every Home for Christ Vision Statement, Every Home for Christ’s Statement of Faith, Every Home for Christ’s employee standards and policies, Every Home for Christ’s Covenant of Harmony and upholds Every Home for Christ’s ministry in prayer.
  • Conveys Every Home for Christ’s religious message and beliefs, including the Every Home for Christ Mission, Vision, to churches, current donors, other staff persons, prospective donors, volunteers, and other persons around the world.
  • Upholds Every Home for Christ Leadership values and standards; conducting oneself to the highest biblical moral standard.
  • Leads prayer/devotionals/church services communicating Every Home for Christ‘s beliefs on a regular basis with ministry partners.
  • Provides overall leadership for Finance. Exemplifies Christian leadership by maintaining a mature Christian climate within the organization and encouraging spiritual development of staff through mentoring, teaching, and by living as an example of Every Home for Christ’s Core Values and expectations.
  • Is responsible for leading finance strategic goals in alignment with Every Home for Christ organizational goals within the Finance Department
  • Provides effective and successful Every Home for Christ leadership for Finance departments 
  • At times, conducts international audits at various global locations, upholding respectful relationships, providing assistance/advice/best practices, and financial accountability.
  • Implements and oversees OFAC and other government compliance/requirements for sending resources around the world.
  • Prepares and presents monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division.
  • Identifies, develops and executes analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new service offerings.
  • Develops and maintains monthly operating budget and annual ministry operating budget.
  • Manages financial planning and analysis; creates reports, oversees software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Reviews and ensures application and documentation of appropriate internal controls, compliance and financial procedures for best practices and mitigating risk. 
  • Ensures timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data. 
  • Responsible for the oversight of accurate and timely international wiring activity.
  • Oversees the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.
  • Reviews all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation.
  • Manages cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability, working in close connection with the CFO.
  • Utilizes forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the ministry’s plans and operating budgets, working in close connection and under direction of the CFO.
  • Insures timely and accurate maintenance of financial records that provide consistent and dependable information which is valuable for internal/external financial decision makers.
  • Identifies, acquires and implements systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information. Evaluates departments and make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiency.
  • Is responsible for leading the annual audit process, maintains communication with external auditors, members of finance, and audit committees. Remains current on audit best practices as well as state, federal, and local laws regarding company operations.
  • Maintains accounts and infrastructure of financial software.
  • Coordinates risk management, monitors insurance needs, maintains risk insurance policies.
  • Other functions as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Actively participates/attends a local church
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred
  • Experience: 5 years of Finance/Accounting AND 3 years of successfully leading people
  • Unquestionable financial integrity/stewardship
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Passion for the mission and vision of Every Home for Christ
  • Possess a strong, dynamic, ever-growing relationship with the Lord
  • Be a participant and engage in global missions; understanding missiological topics

  • High level of organizational skills
  • Ability to problem solve, implement effective and correct solutions
  • Must be able to travel internationally up to 20%
