About Evermore
Evermore Orlando Resort is an innovative 1,100-acre resort adjacent to Walt Disney World® featuring centrally owned upscale and upsized vacation rental homes, flats & villas, a luxury Conrad hotel, 36 holes of world-class Jack Nicklaus golf, and a massive 20-acre tropical beach complex around Evermore Bay, our 8-acre crystalline water amenity by Crystal Lagoons®. The surrounding beach areas feature zero-entry swim areas, bars, cabanas, private firepits, a lively food hall & gourmet market, a casual dining restaurant, and an event Boathouse that will provide a picture-perfect backdrop for weddings, banquets, and corporate meetings. Position Summary: The Resort Service Technician is a part of the Engineering team and is responsible for preventative maintenance, general repairs, guest service, communication, and departmental organization for the front and back of house areas of the resort, both indoors and outside.
Key Responsibilities:
· Respond to interior and exterior guest calls for service in a timely manner. Make repairs and/or provide service in order to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
· Greet all guests and fellow Team Members as you see them. Speak politely and assist them as needed, making sure to answer all questions and providing appropriate directions. Respond in a courteous manner to all questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure complete satisfaction.
· Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all facilities and property of the resort including but not limited to: Guest accommodations, buildings, machinery, equipment, grounds, roadways, signage, flooring, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, electronics, painting, drywall, HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and masonry.
· Operate with the property maintenance software program and properly updates essential information via the use of a smart device.
· Perform preventive maintenance as needed on all items listed above and keep accurate records.
· Complete maintenance and facilities tasks from work orders and/or electronic devices
· Read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard free work environment.
· Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of tools, supplies and equipment.
· Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
· Effectively communicate the status of projects and/or other duties verbally and in writing
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience
· High school graduate or equivalent education is required.
· Vocational or technical training relating to expertise preferred.
· 2 years of resort maintenance experience
· Valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
· Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Capable of performing role in a busy work environment
· Capable of working scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays
· Proficient in the use of electronic devices and their applications such as cell phones and/or tablets
Physical Requirements
· Able to stand, walk, crawl, stoop, kneel, bend, and / or reach repeatedly.
· Able to safely lift 75 pounds and carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials.
· Able to climb and work on ladders and scaffolding.
· Able to be on feet and moving around for entire shift.
· Able to perform all duties listed in this job description.
· Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
