As a rock climbing enthusiast family, we believe in doing hard things, climbing higher in every aspect of life, and minimizing screen time to make room for real-world experiences.

Position Overview: We are seeking a nurturing, energetic, and responsible nanny to join our family’s adventure. This position is ideal for someone who loves children, enjoys outdoor activities, and values education and personal growth. Your role will encompass a range of duties from educational activities to active play, including rock climbing with the children.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage in children’s activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Assist with homeschooling, focusing on developing strong communication skills, reading, and math.
• Meal preparation, bathing, dressing, and driving to/from activities.
• Participate in rock climbing and other outdoor adventures with the kids.
• Light housekeeping duties related to the children, including care for our family chickens.

Schedule:

• Primary care hours during the day, with flexibility for occasional evening care.
• Most weekends free, aligning with family activities.

Requirements:

• Strong preference for candidates with experience as an older sibling in a large family or previous childcare experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children at different developmental stages.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation (family car available for use).
• Enthusiasm for outdoor activities and a willingness to engage in physical play, including rock climbing.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: To be determined, competitive and reflective of experience and qualifications.
• Accommodation: Option to reside in a private cottage on our property.
• Performance evaluations quarterly, focusing on reliability, children’s happiness and learning progress.
• Opportunity to travel with the family, with expenses and additional pay provided.

Duration: Initial contract for 6 months to 1 year, with potential for extension.
