EvergreenHealth is Hiring a RN - New to Specialty - Ortho, Spine, Neuro MedSurg (0.9 FTE, Nights) Start Date August 19, 2024 Near Kirkland, WA

Wage Range: $42.19 – $77.81 per hour
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
This is a training RN position for experienced nurses with at least one year of nursing experience who are interested in learning a new specialty. We provide about 8-12 weeks of training depending on the skill set and progress. This is a training to New to Specialty position, starting August 19, 2024.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.
The Ortho and Spine Center of Excellence (OSCE) staff are required to complete specific orientation related to the orthopedic and spine care pathways for OSCE patients. All program staff will receive the department specific orientation that guides the care of OSCE patients and eight (8) hours of education per the annual education training plan that focuses on orthopedic and spine care.
Primary Duties:
Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED for the position:
Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) required within 5 years of employment if applicable
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
DESIRED for the position:
BSN or MSN
