• Operate forklifts/loaders to load and unload landscaping materials such as mulch, soil, stones, and plants from trucks and storage areas.
• Transport materials to and from designated locations within the yard using safe and efficient driving techniques.
• Assist customers and coworkers with loading materials onto their vehicles/trailers, ensuring accurate quantities and proper securing of loads.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard by stacking and storing materials neatly and safely.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts/loaders to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any issues to supervisors.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers to provide excellent service and address any questions or concerns.
• Assist with inventory management by accurately recording movement of materials and conducting periodic stock counts.
• Assist with other tasks around the yard as needed, such as yard maintenance, inventory stocking, and customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to operate forklifts/loaders safely and efficiently, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
• Prior experience in the landscape supply or construction industry.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material quantities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 per hour
