TITLE: Roving Campus Security/Trainer
LOCATION: Secondary Schools
REPORTS TO: Director of Safety and Security

Hours / Work Times
7 Hours Per Day (8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch
**Work times could vary and traveling from location to location will be required.
190 days per year (180 student days / 10 holidays)
A valid First Aid/CPR card must be submitted to Classified Personnel within 30 days of hire. Only courses with a "hands-on" component taught by a certified instructor are acceptable.
This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected. The earliest date a recommendation for hire may be submitted is after 10/03/22.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
Position Duration: Permanent
Classification Group: Service Worker Class IV - This position will receive $1.25/hr differential pay whenever performing the essential functions related to training for the 22/23 school year only.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Under the supervision of the Director of Safety & Security, the position of Roving Campus Security/Trainer provides security support to the educational process by protecting the rights and property of the Evergreen School District and its employees, students, and visitors by enforcing District policies and regulations relating to safety and security. This position will work at all sites as needed based on district needs. This position will fill long-term absence positions as needed, as well as, day to day absences at the direction of the Director of Safety and Security. As directed, this position will work with campus security officers to help with training or retraining as needed. This position will have full understanding of all the systems, procedures, and databases utilized by campus security.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY:
Computer/Laptop, typewriter, telephone, two-way radio, flashlight, paddle for directing traffic and all other tools and equipment necessary to perform the essential functions as listed above.
