Job Summary/Basic Function:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Outreach and High School Programs, the Associate Director of Recruitment develops, implements, and manages the college's recruitment processes including activities that provide prospective students with important next steps to register while strengthening their college onboarding experience. The Associate Director of Recruitment provides leadership and coordination of quarterly enrollment activities in collaboration with multiple EvCC departments and partners, beginning with a prospective student's first touchpoint through first time enrollment.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the Director of Outreach and High School Programs with the development of outreach andrecruitment annual goals and plans.
  • Use enrollment data to inform annual goals. Assess outreach and recruitment activities.
  • Be available for on-site, in-person work, including on campus and off-site within the community as well as the facilitation of online events.
  • Work evenings and weekends as required. Travel is required during and outside of regular work hours.
  • In collaboration with EvCC strategic partners, adapt and develop recruitment strategies and processes that increase access to prospective students with focus on historically underserved, vulnerable populations and first-generation college students-giving us opportunities to grow our diverse student body and campus community.
  • Work with the Director of OHSP to retain students enrolled in high school dual credit programs (e.g., Running Start, College in the High School, CTE Dual Credit). Encourage those students to
    continue and/or complete their college studies at EvCC after high school.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of admissions requirements and of all certificate and degree programs.
  • Oversee the development, coordination, and delivery of EvCC student orientation and the removal of the orientation registration block.
  • Develop programming and coordinate on-campus group visits for enrollment activities, including but not limited to large group campus tours, placement, orientation, and advising.
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to develop strategies and programs including:
    • Associate Dean of Counseling and Advising to develop and implement effective group
      advising strategies for prospective students. Point of contact for possible on-site or
      off-site group advising events with the Associate Dean of Counseling and Advising.
    • Diversity and Equity Center to coordinate recruitment processes and events for special
      populations.
    • Student LIFE to develop and implement activities for incoming new students.
    • Marketing and Communications to lead recruitment efforts in email and texting
      enrollment campaigns.
    • Director of Outreach and High School Programs the annual High School Counselor
      Breakfasts/Coffee & Chat events.
    • Outreach & High School Programs staff to provide recruitment events, such as college
      fairs, presentations, enrollment workshops, and other activities.
  • Act as designee in the absence of the Director of Outreach and High School Programs.
  • Supervise and manage Outreach Specialists.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree plus one year of full-time higher education supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive experience contributing to a pervasive workplace culture of respect, advocacy and engagement.
