Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. This is a vital position that requires strong knowledge of medical coding, billing procedures, and medical terminology.

Duties:

- Review and analyze patient medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered

- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, including ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems

- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper

- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and appeal if necessary

- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients

- Process payments from insurance companies and patients

- Maintain accurate records of billing activities in the medical office system

- Collaborate with the medical office staff to resolve billing issues and discrepancies

- Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role

- 5 years of Billing experience

- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9)

- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures

- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems for billing purposes

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
